Sansevieria species, commonly known as ‘Mother-in-laws Tongue‘ or ‘Snake Plant“, is indigenous to Western Africa. It is one of the most efficient plants at removing some toxins such as formaldehyde, xylene, and toluene from air inside buildings. In Korea, Sansevieria pots are quite often presented as gifts for the opening of businesses or for housewarming parties. In Barbados, Sansevieria are called the “money plant”.
